Our Family Ministries Director, Steven Fisher joined our former Director of Student Ministries (and current Family Ministries Director at Grace UMC) Mary Gossett for a presentation on Messy Church at St. Paul's UMC this afternoon. The presentation was for the Texas Conference Christian Educators Fellowship which is comprised of leaders in children's and youth ministry within the Texas Conference. Speaking of Messy Church, don't forget Messy Easter is happening on April 23rd at 5:30!
We're building a (tiny) ramp! Our communion offering this month is to support U.M. ARMY (umarmy.org for more info), one of our ministry partners and favorite places to go with youth in the summer. This summer, we'll be attending a Junior and Senior High mission week in Lufkin, TX, and we're building a (tiny) ramp to raise support and awareness! Each piece of wood in the ramp represents a $10 donation. On our first Sunday, we raised $800 towards our goal! Half of what we raise will be used to support our U.M. ARMY, and the other half will support the broader ministry of U.M. ARMY around the country. Donate here: https://stsumc.churchcenter.com/giving/to/communion
Here's our first week's progress on the ramp! Every $10 donated buys another plank: https://stsumc.churchcenter.com/giving/to/communion
Trophy time for our first and last place March Madness competitors. Who'll get the trophy next year? Who'll take possession of the wooden spoon.
Fun fact: @lindsayjvsmith and @revnayte accidentally match at least once a week. However, this accidental ☯ thing is new... #stshtx #blackandgrayandgrayandblack #twins

Steven and Nathan are having too much fun doing something very silly, if you hadn’t noticed. #Repost @revnayte with @get_repost ・・・ As I mentioned in my last post, we’re starting a worship series Sunday at @stshtx called “Weird Church Words.” You know what’s a weird church word? Processional. #signandscram #stshtx @leffleremily
If you were unable to make it out to the Festival of Abilities (or you were one of the church volunteers who stayed behind to man our booth), here is the full performance of "This is Me" by Pastor Lindsay Smith and the St. Stephen's chorus.
